This is a free ticketed event for Young Barbican members only.
How do you harness your peers and network to support each other’s careers?
In this session, we’ll be recognising the value of building a network, and introduce the importance and value of peer review.
We will be joined by a panel of guests who are at the forefront of building support networks across the arts sector.
During the second half of the session, we will carry out peer-led discussions of each other’s work. You are welcome to come to the session with an idea or piece of work you wish to discuss and receive feedback on.
Food and drink will be available.

Amelia Poamz
Host
Amelia started out as a spoken word poet, and then expanded her commitment to the artform by hosting and curating her own intimate spoken word and short film nights across the capital. She is now presenting on BBC Radio London every Thursday evening, a slot that gives her the chance to platform up and coming corners of the creative scene in London.
Neelam Keshwala
Panellist

She founded DON'T SLEEP ON US in 2018, to bring together people from the global majority in high energy networking 'parties' of over 300 people, to uplift, inspire and learn from communities. Neelam also hosts an online weekly workshop with south-asian women aged over 65 in her community called Saheli Sessions, to engage in games, group learning and to combat loneliness.
