Preview: Supernova (15) + ScreenTalk with Director Harry Macqueen

A still from Supernova

Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci shine as a long-term couple dealing with the onset of illness in this warm and tender drama.

After twenty years together, Sam and Tusker’s blissful life has been shattered following Tusker’s diagnosis with early onset dementia. Intent on spending as much precious time together as they can, the pair travel across England in their old campervan, visiting loved ones and returning to special places from their past.

But as Sam and Tusker’s trip progresses and they are forced to confront the reality of their situation, rifts begin to emerge as they look at what the future may hold.

Driven by two beautiful performances from Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, Harry Macqueen’s introspective road movie is a deeply affecting and quietly provocative exploration of love in the face of tragedy.

We're delighted to welcome director Harry Macqueen for a ScreenTalk, hosted by journalist Guy Lodge.

Please only sit directly beside someone from your household or support bubble, and avoid moving seats when you arrive, so we can keep a safe distance between you and other groups.
