Gagarine (12A)

Young people looking at an eclipse, wearing the protective glasses

Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh show us what it means to truly call a place home in dreamlike tale 'Gagarine'.

Youri (Alseni Bathily) is a young man living on the Gagarine estate: a beloved housing estate with a strong and culturally rich community, but has been heavily neglected by the local authorities and is due to be demolished. With the possibility of the residents being displaced and re-housed, Youri, does everything to fight and save his home.

With the help of his friends Houssam (Jamil McCraven) and Diana (Lyna Khoudri) we follow Youri on a sobering, yet at times surreal adventure to challenge authority and safeguard what matters the most to the local community.
