Royal Opera House: Nutcracker (2020) (U)

Family Film Club

An image from The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House

This Royal Opera House production of Nutcracker is a sparkling treat to get you ready for the holiday season.

Young Clara receives a magical Nutcracker at her family's holiday party and, before Christmas eve is over, she is whisked away on a magical adventure with her new companion.

All set to Tchaikovsky's popular score, the dancers of The Royal Ballet bring this timeless classic to life with peerless choreography, goergous costumes and vast sets. Filmed in 2016 and first screened in cinemas in 2020, this is Family Film Club's first show of a live recorded production: we hope it gives you a chance to give ballet a try and gets you in the festive mood!

Join us before the screening at 10 am in Cinema 2&3 Foyer for a Christmas Workshop! Artist Ivonne Vargas will lead in this crafty family workshop inspired by The Nutcracker.
