Operatic superstar Sir Bryn Terfel offers comfort and familiarity amid the chaos of the year, with a personal selection of pieces that lie at the heart of his musical life.

From the sublimity of Bach’s cantata Ich habe genug to the nostalgia of songs by Finzi, lighter material by Ivor Novello and loving odes to his homeland of Wales, Terfel confirms his versatility as a performer in a variety of guises, beautifully supported by Britten Sinfonia. Offering a glimpse into music he’s loved all his life, Terfel wears his heart on his sleeve in this remedial tonic of an evening.
