Aoife O’Donovan

Aoife O'Donovan leaning against a wall

One of modern Americana’s brightest talents, Irish-American vocalist and songwriter Aoife O’Donovan, is joined by a string quartet for this intimate new performance.

Ethereal yet powerful, it often sounds as if Aoife is singing directly to you – her music draws you in. Tonight, she is reinforced by a string quartet to present delicate new arrangements of her songs, as well as the song cycle Bull Frogs’ Croon, which uses stunning text by the former Poet Laureate of Oregon, Peter Sears.

O’Donovan is an accomplished solo artist and has released two studio albums: 2013’s country-tinged Fossils, and the exhilarating In The Magic Hour in 2016. She is also in-demand as a collaborator, and has worked with artists such as Alison Krauss, jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas, as well as fronting her bluegrass project I’m With Her, featuring fellow singer-songwriters Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz.

This concert will start at the advertised start time and running times will be confirmed closer to the event
