What You Gonna Do When The World's On Fire (#)

+ ScreenTalk with director Roberto Minervini

two boys walking down the street in black and white

A captivating documentary that explores different voices within the African-American communities of New Orleans.

Director Roberto Minervini weaves four narrative strands together which illustrate the devastating effects that violence, under-privilege and strained race relations has on a community. This is an intimate and poetic portrait of people trying to do the best by their families and communities.

We are delighted to be joined by Shanida Scotland – Multimedia Commissioning Editor, Culture & Special Projects at The Guardian – to host a ScreenTalk with Minervini, discussing the making of the film and the themes it explores.
