Tuning into Change Orchestra

Led by Gustavo Dudamel, over 100 of the UK's most passionate young musicians will be guided in rehearsal with fellow musicians from the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA) and National Youth Orchestra.

Gaining invaluable insight into Dudamel's rehearsal process and experiencing first-hand the inspirational way he communicates the joy of music with young people, musicians from The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain's Inspire programme will take part in the day celebrating young leaders in classical music.

This young orchestra is part of a partnership between Barbican Guildhall and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (NYO). In 2018, the youth arts manifesto Tuning into Change was launched at an Open Rehearsal involving 140 young people who were conducted by world renowned artist, Gustavo Dudamel. The manifesto celebrates the voice of young people and their potential to influence when given the opportunity to have their say.
