The Sisters Brothers (15)

John C Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix on horseback

From Rust and Bones' Jacques Audiard comes a darkly offbeat reimagining of the Western.

Based on Canadian author Patrick deWitt's award-winning novel, The Sisters Brothers follows notorious assassins Eli and Charlie Sisters (John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix), gun-slinger brothers grown to men in a savage world.

The Sisters find themselves on a journey that will test the limits of their brotherly bond and its bloody foundations, grizzling and quarrelling their way from the mountains of Oregon to the Gold Rush land of California. Both a picaresque romp with a Coen brothers-esque charm and an astute exploration of masculinity starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Riz Ahmed.
