Steeleye Span 50th Anniversary

with special guest Martin Carthy

A group photo of Steeleye Span looking at the camera

One of the most enduring bands of the folk world and beyond mark 50 years with a night of favourites and songs from their new album EST’D 1969.

A vintage year for music and the end of a decade that changed the world, 1969 would also see the birth of a band that would go on to become one of the most successful bands of the British folk revival along with bands such as Fairport Convention. Led by the unmistakable and beautiful voice of Maddy Prior, Steeleye Span continue to champion traditional folk whilst also embracing rock and pop styles.

Joining the band exclusively for this show will be special guests Martin Carthy, Peter Knight and John Kirkpatrick. Support comes from The Acoustic Strawbs.
