I Fagiolini/Music & Theatre for All: L'Orfeo

Relaxed performance

A puppeteer performs, holding up a puppet's head

Monteverdi’s revolutionary L’Orfeo is widely regarded as opera’s first great masterpiece.

This strikingly beautiful and original staging features masters of the Renaissance, I Fagiolini and rising star Matthew Long in the title role.

In this relaxed performance, Thomas Guthrie introduces the puppets and singers in a relaxed, shortened performance that will give you a flavour of  Monteverdi’s opera. The performance will have a short break in the middle and is open to everyone, but is especially aimed at young children, individuals with autism, sensory and communication impairments and learning disabilities.
