Parent & Baby Screening: Late Night (15)

Emma Thompson

Emma Thompson leads as a late-night talkshow host on the brink of losing her show, in this all-star comedy written by and starring Mindy Kaling.

Katherine Newbury (Thompson) is a fierce TV presenter who doesn't suffer fools (or anyone) lightly. Newbury is worried that her show is slipping away from her, when she decides to hire her first ever female staff writer, Molly Patel (Kaling).

Although the two women are separated by age and culture, they bond over their shared love of comedy and a hard-hitting punch line. With quick quips and snappy one-liners, Thompson clearly relishes the opportunity to co-lead in this socially astute and witty comedy.
