An exhibition of ceramics and paintings by Laura De Benedetti and Gail Altschuler, friends and potters from North London
Laura De Benedetti's work is inspired by landscape, water, flowers, the play of light and shade and reflections. In a period when so much ceramic art is abstract and conceptual, she focuses on useful, practical objects that accompany us in our daily lives.
Gail Altschuler combines ceramics and painting with printmaking. She is inspired by the improvisation of jazz music, pattern and fabrics from diverse cultures, colours found in nature and by the playful manipulation of shape, pattern and colour.
