Concrete Futures Photowalk

Explore the Brutalist architecture of two great social housing estates in East London; the Balfron Tower and Robin Hood Gardens.

Designed in the 1960’s to offer radical solutions to housing needs, the two estates now are facing very different futures with Balfron Tower undergoing refurbishment and Robin Hood Gardens due for demolition. Join photographer Anthony Palmer on this photo walk to explore the architecture and utopian ambitions of these two great social housing projects.

All abilities welcome and members must bring camera equipment they are comfortable to walk with (can include phones or tablets).

The tour will last approximately 1 hour 30 mins.

Online booking is essential.
