Arab-British filmmakers in conversation: Panel Discussion

A multi-award winning panel of Arab-British directors discuss how they interpret their hyphenated identities and how it has impacted on the stories they tell and films they make.

A panel reflecting on their own work, as well as themes of generational change and identity, dominant thematics of this year’s film programme.

Confirmed panellists include Egyptian/British Sally El Hossaini (My Brother The Devil), Libyan/British Naziha Arebi (Freedom Fields), Iraqi/British Amrou Al Kadhi (Run(a)way Arab, Anemone), Tunisian/British Claire Belhassine (The Man Behind The Microphone, which also screens as part of the festival), Palestinian/British Saeed Taji Farouky (The Runner, Tell Spring Not To Come This Year) and Lebanese/British Mustapha Kseibati (Skateboards and Spandex, Painkiller).
