Winchester College Chamber Orchestra

Winchester College student playing the bassoon

Making their London debut, the Winchester College Chamber Orchestra perform a selection of popular orchestral works.

Founded in 1382, Winchester College is one of the UK’s best-known schools. This concert is an opportunity for the orchestra to showcase its programme prior to a one-week tour to Hong Kong.

Under the baton of David Thomas, the orchestra will perform one of Haydn’s ‘London’ Symphonies, No 99 in E flat, along with Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto with senior pupil Joseph Rhee as soloist. The programme is completed with works by Mendelssohn and Grieg.
