Sounds and Visions Session Three

London Syrian Ensemble

The London Syrian Ensemble sitting in a row

A live performance from a collective of Syria's finest musicians based in the UK, as part of Max Richter's Sounds and Visions weekend.

The London Syrian Ensemble is made up of newly-arrived and long-term UK residents who either studied or taught at Damascus's prestigious Conservatoire. Together they offer a joyous performance of classical and traditional music from the region; one that's full of energy, beauty and humanity, and one that offers a positive and optimistic opportunity to celebrate Syrian culture.
