Conversation No. 7

Soundhouse: The Listening Body

illustration of people listening to music

Enter into conversation with the radio in a collective listening session

Conversation No. 7 and Duet explore the porous borders between recorded sound and the bodily presence of the listener through the work of Duncan Speakman and Tineke de Meyer.

The sessions will be followed by a Q&A with the artists.

Participants will receive a copy of the printed guide accompanying Soundhouse: The Listening Body (worth £4) featuring newly-commissioned essays and illustrations.

About the artists

Duncan Speakman is an overly melancholic sound artist and composer based at the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol. He likes slow films and loud music.

Tineke de Meyer is a hysterical Belgian writer and dramaturg who regularly wakes up in a bed of angst.
