Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (U) + intro by Adrian Wootton

Marilyn Monroe surrounded by fan girls in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Marilyn Monroe stars as showgirl Lorelei Lee in Howard Hawks's classic musical comedy.

A gorgeous Technicolor Hollywood glamour fest with classic comedy scenes and bravura musical numbers thrown in. Adapted by the legendary director Howard Hawks from the Loos/ Fields stage play, this is one of Marilyn Monroe’s most charismatic roles as the gold-digging showgirl Lorelei who drags her friend (the equally mesmerising Jane Russell) into one hilarious scrape after another.

Adrian Wootton OBE, CEO of Film London, introduces the film.
