Adrian Wootton's Hollywood Legends: Tony Curtis

Members' Event

Tony Curtis

Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London, traces the life and career of Tony Curtis.

Tony Curtis (1925-2010) was one of the great Hollywood stars who came to real prominence in the turbulent 1950’s. After frothy costume epics, he made an indelible impression in both serous subjects, such as Sweet Smell Of Success and The Defiant Ones, and classic comedies like Some Like it Hot, before appearing in the beloved 1970’s TV series The Persuaders, alongside Roger Moore.

Kicking off his 2018 Legends series, Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London, will recount Tony Curtis’ long life and illustrious career, and his own experiences of interviewing the star in 2008, in this talk, lavishly illustrated with slides and film clips.

Ticket includes a complimentary drink. This talk lasts approximately 60 minutes and is followed by a separate screening of Sweet Smell of Success. Tickets for the screening are available here at £6 for Members.
