The Artist (PG)

+ ScreenTalk with Ludovic Bource

A still from The Artist

Hear from the Oscar-winning composer of The Artist, Ludovic Bource, on how he created the score for a modern silent movie.

At the height of his fame, suave silent film star, George Valentin (Jean Dujardin), gives young dancer Peppy Miller (Berenice Bejo) her Hollywood break. But sound soon takes over the industry, and while his young protégé adapts to the talkies, Valentin gets left behind.

Composer Ludovic Bource was given an Academy Award for his incredible score to this silent film, rich with allusions to early cinematic history. We’re delighted to be joined for a ScreenTalk with him after the screening, hosted by Gary Yershon.
