In Between (15) + ScreenTalk with director Maysaloun Hamoud

Conversations with Women in Film

Photo of three women standing on a roof

This compelling drama, directed by Maysaloun Hamoud, follows the lives of three strong Israeli-Palestinian women in Tel Aviv.

This beautifully crafted look at female relationships in the modern era follows lawyer Laila (Mouna Hawa), aspiring DJ Salma (Sana Jammaliah) and student and wife-to-be Nour (Shaden Kanboura) as their lives begin to take shape. Each woman knows what she wants away from the constraints of traditional society, but as they pursue their paths, do they have the freedom from their friends, families and even each other, to succeed?

Following on from our events with Hope Dickson Leach and Gurinder Chadha, we are thrilled to host director Maysaloun Hamoud for a ScreenTalk after her film, as part of our Women in Conversation in Film series this year.
