English Chamber Orchestra with Julian Rachlin

Julian Rachlin with a violin

The English Chamber Orchestra turn to the highly sought after conductor/violinist, Julian Rachlin, to lead an all-Beethoven programme which launches their major European tour.

One of the highpoints of the 2015-16 season was when Julian Rachlin debuted with the English Chamber Orchestra, not as soloist but as conductor as well in the Musikverein, Vienna, a place he holds dear to his heart, and this tour culminates with a much-anticipated return performance to this venue.

Rachlin, a renowned and in demand violinist , viola player and conductor, is also a humanitarian ambassador for UNICEF and the World Economic Forum. Committed not only to young people but to the music of the future as well, he is associated with the premieres of numerous new works and he has had pieces written for him by such great composers as Giya Kancheli and Krzysztof Penderecki.
