Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra

20th Anniversary Concert

Anne Sophie Mutter, Maxim Vengerov and Martha Argerich

The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra celebrate their 20th Anniversary with Anne-Sophie Mutter, Maxim Vengerov and Martha Argerich.

Three world-class soloists join Marios Papadopoulos and his musicians for this celebration of the Orchestra's 20th anniversary. Maxim Vengerov and Anne-Sophie Mutter both return to the Orchestra for an unprecedented collaboration in Bach's Concerto for Two Violins. Another returning friend, Martha Argerich, takes on Schumann's love-letter in music, his piano concerto in A minor. The only way to follow this special concert's all-star first half is with the symphony that changed the direction of music forever, Beethoven's Eroica.

The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra’s reputation is maintained by some of the finest musicians in the UK - described by Jessica Duchen as ‘a line-up to match any top-notch international ensemble and probably beat then on their own turf’.
