Members' Private View Another Kind of Life: Photography on the margins

Barbican Members only

Gazing directly into the camera, Paz Errazuriz’s arresting photograph of Pilar, a cross-dresser working in an underground brothel in Chile during the 1980s.

Members are invited to come and explore this new exhibition after hours.

Touching on themes of countercultures, subcultures and minorities of all kinds, the show features the work of 20 photographers from the 1950s to the present day.

 

Your tickets also include a complimentary drink voucher to enjoy either before or after your visit to the exhibition. Tickets are limited so must be booked in advance.

The gallery will be open from 18.30-20.30 for the private viewing.

This season is part of our 2018 season The Art of Change, which explores how the arts respond to, reflect and potentially effect change in the social and political landscape.
