Pianist Vikingur Ólafsson takes the focus in this Artist Spotlight recital, exploring the intricate complexities of Bach’s solo music for keyboard.

Olafsson is the third soloist in BBC Radio 3’s Artist Spotlight series, which invites four leading performers to show us what they’re all about through an hour of music. With a reputation for performances that are lit up by equal parts imagination and talent – he was described as ‘Iceland’s Glenn Gould’ by The New York Times, founded his own record label and directs three festivals – he brings his singular vision to Bach’s keyboard music.
