Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star in Lynne Ramsay’s black-comedy thriller, in which a couple's life shifts dramatically after the birth of their child.

Grace and Jackson should be happy with their new baby and fixer-upper home in the country. But after giving birth, Grace’s mind begins to change, and her restlessness pushes her to the edge of sanity. As their lives shift, love and marriage are tested in ways they never expected.

Directed by seasoned psychological thriller-maker Lynne Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin, You Were Never Really Here) and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson and LaKeith Stanfield, the film was written by Enda Walsh (Hunger, Small Things Like These), Ramsay, and Alice Birch. It bravely interprets the intensely unpredictable transformations of new parenthood and whether our dreams ever do make a happy reality.

The film had its world premiere at the main competition of Cannes, where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or.
