Darbar: Purbayan Chatterjee + Ramana Balachandhran

Collage of Purbayan Chatterjee and Ramana Balachandhran

An extraordinary double bill of Indian classical excellence where seasoned artistry meets youthful virtuosity, creating music that stirs and thrills one's soul.

This is a tale of two great traditions: experience the deep knowledge and maturity of master sitarist Chatterjee alongside the dazzling brilliance of rising Carnatic star Balachandhran, whose prodigious talent has captivated audiences since childhood.

In the first half, child prodigy Balachandhran brings his extraordinary Carnatic veena artistry alongside the firepower percussion of mridangam virtuoso Krishnan. After the interval, sitar shapeshifter Chatterjee – renowned for pushing the boundaries of Hindustani tradition, joins forces with tabla maestro Singh for an electrifying exploration of raga and rhythm.

With Valentine's Day just a week away, this sell-out sensation is the perfect gift to celebrate love through live music.

This performance will end at approximately 10.30pm.

End times are approximate and are subject to change.
