London Palestine Film Festival 2025

A man in a mirror

The annual festival’s 2025 edition showcases some of this year’s most anticipated new releases reflecting on Palestine.

Opening the programme is The Voice of Hind Rajab, the urgent and harrowing work by Oscar–nominated Kaouther Ben Hania who blends real recordings with scripted scenes to tell the devastating true story of 6-year-old Hind Rajab, trapped in a car under fire, and the first responders who tried to save her.

The festival also presents the UK Premiere of Once Upon a Time in Gaza: this hard-edged drama is the latest fiction from Gaza-born film-making brothers Arab and Tarzan Nasser. Leila Abbas’ debut feature, Thank You for Banking with Us! draws a sharp and darkly comic portrait of sisterhood, survival and resistance against patriarchal norms. The programme concludes with Passing Dreams where Rashid Masharawi chooses hope over despair, sketching a tender portrait of youth navigating loss, displacement and memory.
