Charlie Mackesy: An evening of drawing, music and stories

Charlie Mackesy: An evening of drawing, music and stories

Come and spend a once-in-a-lifetime evening with Charlie Mackesy, the much-loved author and illustrator of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

This is less a performance and more of an opportunity for Charlie to say hello, offer thanks to the many who have found a piece of themselves in his drawings, and celebrate his highly anticipated new book, Always Remember: The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, the Horse and the Storm.

The evening will weave live drawing, storytelling, live music, film, and questions from the audience, with Charlie sharing the sparks that inspired him, the missteps and miracles along the way - from the quiet act of sketching alone at a kitchen table to the unpredictable journey of creating an Oscar-winning animated short film.

This is a celebration of joy and melancholy, and the courage found in the smallest kindnesses. You may find yourself laughing, you may find yourself moved, and you may even leave with the inspiration to begin something creative of your own.
