Honey Don't! (15)

Margaret Qualley strides determinedly in a red floral dress

Ethan Coen returns with a lesbian dark comedy, following a private detective (Margaret Qualley) and her murder investigation, alongside a police woman she has her eye on (Aubery Plaza).

Set in a deeply Republican nook of California, Honey O'Donaghue is investigating murders that seem to be linked to a crooked, evangelical reverend (Chris Evans).

Surrounded by smarmy men who are unaccepting of her sexuality, Honey only lets herself be free around women who catch her eye, namely Plaza's mysterious cop MG, and Lera Abova's alluring femme fatal.

Following typical B-movie beats as well as having noir-inspired stylistics, this throwback detective story is the follow up to Coen (No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski) and Tricia Cook's Drive-Away Dolls.
