E.T. The Extra Terrestrial + intro (U)

Family Film Week

A bike floating in the sky with the moon as backdrop.

An undeniable masterpiece, E.T is pure cinematic joy.

To complement our Monday screening of The Legend of Ochi, we’re screening one of the films that influenced it, giving audiences the opportunity to introduce young ones to the iconic Spielberg classic.

When a young alien accidentally gets left behind on Earth and is befriended by a local boy, Elliot, the pair form a strong friendship that is tested to its limits. The climactic bicycle flight accompanied by John William’s soaring score is one of the most exhilarating moments in cinema history and a must see on the biggest screen possible!

With a short introduction from curator, Susie Evans, about E.T. The Extra-terrestrial and other films it connects to.

Why not try a more recent film that was inspired by E.T. on the big screen this week too? Family Film Week is screening The Legend of Ochi (12A) on Mon 27th Oct at 1.45pm.*

Age suggestion: 6+

This film has been BBFC classified a U – but assessing suitability of any film is the responsibility of parent/guardian. Please see www.bbfc.co.uk for more information on film ratings and content guidelines.
