Young Hearts (12A)

A young boy behind a curtain.

Thirteen year-old Elias falls in love for the first time and attempts to confront his inner turmoil in this heartfelt tale of young gay love, in Anthony Schatteman's feature.

After realising that he is attracted to his new neighbour, Alexander, Elias sets out to prove he is worthy of his heart.

Confused by these feelings, he turns to his friends and family but is only met with more questions and sets out to sort his inner chaos.

This first feature from Anthony Schatteman is gentle and sincere in its exploration of burgeoning gay love, and how it shapes identity in a supposedly neutral world.
