Young Hearts (12A)

Play Make Do: A Festival of Fun for All the Family

Thirteen year-old Elias falls in love for the first time and attempts to confront his inner turmoil in this heartfelt tale of young, gay, love, in Anthony Schatteman's feature.

After realising that he is attracted to his new neighbour, Alexander, Elias sets out to prove he is worthy of his heart.

Confused by these feelings, he turns to his friends and family but is only met with more questions and sets out to sort his inner chaos.

This first feature from Anthony Schatteman is gentle and sincere in its exploration of how burgeoning gay love shapes identity in a supposedly neutral world.
