Tortoise + Jeremiah Chiu & Marta Sofia Honer

Part of EFG London Jazz Festival

the five band members are standing under a tree on a sunny day

Widely considered one of the most influential contemporary music groups of the last 40 years, Tortoise will perform new pieces alongside classics from their catalogue of boundary-defying music.

Comprised of Jeff Parker, Dan Bitney, Douglas McCombs, John Herndon, and John McEntire, Tortoise is hailed as the pace-setters of the post-rock sound. The Chicago Tribune described Tortoise’s sound as ‘mood music that refuses to be shoved into the background, as inviting as it is challenging.' Releasing seven albums since 1990 — including classics like 1996’s Millions Now Living Will Never Die, 1998’s TNT, and 2001’s Standards —Tortoise has steadily and intuitively evolved across its life, creating genre defying music that is as timeless as it is ahead of the curve.

LA duo Jeremiah Chiu & Marta Sofia Honer open with masterful acoustic-electronic blends from their three International Anthem albums, including 2025’s Different Rooms.

Due to popular demand, a matinee show has been added.
