Ocean With David Attenborough (PG)

Family Film Club

David Attenborough in a blue coat stands in front of white cliffs

With World Ocean Day around the corner, join us for a special family screening of this breath-taking and hard-hitting documentary, uncovering both rare beauty and dangers beneath the waves.

This screening for a family audience follows the celebrated broadcaster as he reveals how his lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs and kelp forests, as well as heart-breaking views of over-fishing and destruction, Attenborough shares why a healthy ocean keeps the entire planet stable and flourishing.

Spellbinding big screen cinematography showcases the wonder of undersea life and exposes the challenges facing our ocean as never-before, from shockingly devastating footage of fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching. Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to deliver his greatest message: the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.
