Transpose Pit Party: Subverse

CN Lester

Transpose composite

The latest edition of Transpose, a powerful evening of music and performance from some of the UK's most exciting trans artists, is directed by Jamie Hale and curated by ILĀ.

Changemakers from across the industry unite as Transpose returns. This cathartic show invites artists and audiences to look at things differently, challenge dominant narratives and defy binary expectations. With a focus on sound, the line-up will draw on disciplines beyond their core practice, creating unexpected results.

Founded by artistic director CN Lester, Transpose has celebrated and platformed the wide-ranging talents of the UK trans community for over a decade. In CN’s words, it’s a space where ‘we can show you our vulnerabilities, our strengths, and – most of all – our authenticity’.

Multifaceted artist ILĀ is a producer, creative director and the co-founder of Trans Voices UK. Jamie Hale, a multidisciplinary creative, founded CRIPtic Arts to build an artistic landscape where disabled people flourish.
