Mandoob (15)

A penniless delivery driver starts illegally bootlegging alcohol to the rich and famous, in this Saudi crime thriller.

Ali Kalthami’s darkly comedic feature debut is set among the relentless gig economy of the ultra-modern world of Saudi nightlife. Desperate and down on his luck, Fahad Nassir (Mohammed Aldokhi) works at a call centre during the day. and as a courier (mandoob) by night, all to save money for his aging father’s medical treatment.

These pressures mount and poor decisions lead to free fall further and further into a lifestyle he is completely unprepared for.

Mandoob was a huge hit in its native Saudi Arabia, which lifted a 35-year ban on cinemas in 2017.
