The Joy

Part of EFG London Jazz Festival

The Joy

Experience the euphoria of South African acapella with the fast rising international sensation The Joy.

A combination of traditional Zulu music with a modern acapella flourish The Joy's sound perfectly encapsulates their spirit - bright, uplifting, melodic.

With a unique, deeply moving sound which transcends continent and genre they are captivating to watch. Formed during their school years you can feel the love as they perform, as they often say 'Life made us friends, music made us brothers'.

Having received recent praise from Alicia Keys, Sam Smith and Jennifer Hudson with collaborations with artists such as The Blessed Madonna this band are definitely one to watch.

The astonishing vocals come from the groups 5 members: Pastor (Ntokozo Bright Magcaba), Duzie (Melokuhle Mkhungo), Guduza (Sphelele Hlophe), Sthombe (Phelelani Sithole) and Marcus (Sanele Ngcobo).
