Four Daughters (15)

Senior Community Screening

Two girls help their sister put on a head scarf.

Olfa, a Tunisian mother to four daughters works through the loss of her eldest two in this unique documentary.

Between light and darkness stands Olfa, a Tunisian woman and the mother of four daughters. One day, her two older daughters disappear.

Filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania creates this powerful film, working with a family to tell their story about the two older daughters who disappeared.

The film is lifts the veil on creative collaboration, showing the family meeting and working with the actors to represent what happened to them. Moreover, the project allows the remaining sisters to talk about their experience of what happened - here, the film becomes a vehicle for communication and openness to express truth around the harrowing experience for the whole family.

A bold film that blends between deeply honest documentary and touching drama.
