As Mine Exactly

Various images of a horse running in a 4 x 4 grid

Two films responding to Charlie Shackleton's intimate virtual reality piece As Mine Exactly.

In this programme Charlie Shackleton selects two films in response to his intimate virtual reality performance piece, As Mine Exactly, and will join us in conversation to expand upon his most recent moving image work.

The programme features Window Water Baby Moving (1959) by Stan Brakhage, a short film in which the celebrated artist films the birth of his daughter. This is paired with Thom Andersen's Eadweard Muybridge, Zoopraxographer from 1975. An experimental biography of Muybridge, where Andersen presents his re-animation of his historic sequential photographs, and an inspired examination of their philosophical implications.
