Members' Event

Get a closer look at Carrie Mae Weems' influential multi-disciplinary work with a Members' tour led by the Curator.

Just for Members, this tour gives you a unique insight into Carrie Mae Weems: Reflections for Now. Curatorial Assistant Amber Li will guide you through the exhibition, exploring key photographs, films and installations in the exhibition and the influence of her work in challenging representations of race, gender and class.

With the space closed to the public, Members will have the chance to get a closer look at Carrie Mae Weem's expansive collection of work, guided by curatorial insights.

Why not pick up a special memento from the exhibition? The Gallery shop will be open and you can save with your increased 20% Members' discount, available just for Members' Week.

Part of Members' Week 2023, a week of events, talks and offers to celebrate Barbican Membership.

This is a Members-only event. Members can purchase up to two tickets, for themselves plus a guest. The tour lasts for approximately 45 minutes and there are two time slots: 6:30pm and 7:30pm, with 35 spaces available for each.
