The Faction's Pericles Project Research Sharing

Members' Event

Group of people sat on some ancient steps with their arms wide, looking at the camera.

Get a special insight into the preparation for The Faction's one-of-a-kind, multilingual production of Shakespeare's Pericles at this research sharing.

Members are invited to join us for a special work-in-progress sharing of Shakespeare's Pericles by the multi award-winning international theatre ensemble The Faction.

The Faction are spending the week at the Barbican developing their unique transnational, multilingual and collaborative production of the play and will be sharing with us what they’ve developed during these sessions.

Ambitious in scope and vision, the project has five units in countries across the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa. Each unit contains the scenes of the text set in those countries performed by actors with heritage in those countries.

Join us for an unique insight into the preparation going into this cross-cultural exchange and witness something truly innovative. Plus, you'll have the chance to ask questions at an interactive Q&A after the sharing.

This is a Member-only event, with limited ticket capacity. Members can book up to two tickets, for them and a guest.

If you can no longer make it, please email us to let us know at [email protected] so we can release your tickets to someone else.

The actors will be working in English, Greek, Lebanese Arabic, Libyan Arabic, Syrian Arabic and Turkish. A synopsis of the scenes will be provided.
