Snapshots: Caribbean Cinema Up Close

Still from Strictly Two Wheel

A selection of shorts from across the Caribbean spotlighting the work of contemporary filmmakers in the region.

Curated from shorts screened at the 17th edition of trinidad+tobago film festival which themed itself around the #Seeyuhself concept, Currents explores self-representation through the medium of film. Given the breadth of the region which varies in language, culture, political sovereignty and resource, this programme explores an element of contemporary life and gives voice to a subject, viewed from a perspective not commonly seen by UK audiences.

Please note this screening includes references to discrimination, sexual assault, and child abuse.

This programme has been locally classified.

This is screening as part of Snapshots: Caribbean Cinema Up Close.
