The BBC 1Xtra Resourcing Team will open the doors to an exclusive CV Clinic at the Barbican Centre. It’s an opportunity for you to bring your CV and get advice on how it should look, what it should say and what it shouldn’t! Speak to BBC employers about what they look for in potential candidates, how to nail an application form and interview advice.
Make sure you get down early and bring your CV, either on your phone, laptop or printed. There is also a one-off opportunity to get a week work experience at BBC 1Xtra.

Swarzy Macaly
Founder and Creator of Too Much Source
Swarzy Macaly is a radio presenter at BBC Radio 1XTRA. She presents the Weekend Breakfast Show every Saturday morning from 7-10am. Swarzy was awarded Best Presenter at the UK Entertainment Awards in 2021. In 2020, she was nominated for the Duke and Duchess's list of Black History Month Next Generation Trailblazers by Lord Simon Woolley, who commended her for her charisma, passion for young people and social justice, and her work with the youth-led charity My Life My Say.

Founded and curated by BBC Radio 1XTRA broadcaster, Swarzy Macaly, Too Much Source is an annual exhibition with live events dedicated to celebrating Black British creatives who are making history today. October 2022 marks the 5th anniversary of Too Much Source and Swarzy has joined forces with the Barbican and BBC Radio 1XTRA to host a series of panel events in the lead up to the launch of her exhibition, Rest Assured in 2022. Her gallery celebrates the importance of ‘rest’ and the joy it brings, as well as shines a light on 10 Black British creatives across radio and music, business and finance, sport and wellbeing, art and literature, as well as faith and community.
