Guildhall Symphony Orchestra & Chorus

Debussy, Ravel and L.Boulanger

Symphony Orchestra

Join more than 200 Guildhall School musicians for their first concert of the academic year and experience music at its most evocative in works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Lili Boulanger.

In this all-French programme the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and Chorus explore the familiar magic of Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, the daring drama of Boulanger’s Psalm 130Du fond de l'abîme and Ravel’s masterful love story Daphnis et Chloé.

The ensembles will be under the baton of conductor Marius Stravinsky*, and joined by mezzo-soprano Alexandra Achillea Pouta and tenor Steven van der Linden.
