Nitram (15) + Recorded Q&A

Caleb Landry-Jones in Nitram

The stunning new film from Justin Kurzel, acclaimed director of Macbeth, and True History of the Kelly Gang.

Nitram (Caleb Landry-Jones) lives with his mother (Judy Davis) and father (Anthony LaPaglia) in suburban Australia in the Mid 1990s. He lives a life of isolation and frustration at never being able to fit in. That is until he unexpectedly finds a close friend in a reclusive heiress, Helen (Essie Davis).

However when that friendship meets its tragic end, and Nitram’s loneliness and anger grow, he begins a slow descent that leads to disaster.

This screenings features a special recorded Q&A with Justin Kurzel and Essie Davis.

Please note: This film is based on true events surrounding the 1996 Port Arthur massacre, in which 35 people were shot and killed. Whilst this violence is not depicted on-screen, we acknowledge that the film may be particularly upsetting for some.
