Earwig (15) (AD)

A young girl wears unusual braces in a still from Earwig

A young girl is wrapped up in a strange and unsettling horror mystery, in the English language debut of director Lucile Hadžihalilović (Évolution, Innocence).

Mia (Romane Hemelaers) is unfortunate; with no teeth of her own, everyday she must wear dentures made of ice, suffering through their short working life by wearing a device that collects the ever-warming water.

One day, when on an unusual day out with her guardian Albert (Paul Hilton), Mia tries to escape by tragic means, leading the pair to encounter Celeste (Romola Garai) and Laurence (Alex Lauther).

The mystery of these people and their connection to one another is deepened, and we are plunged into an atmospheric, beautiful and extremely creepy mood.
