A selection of pianists take over Level G in celebration of Piano Day – a welcome return after a two-year break.

Demonstrating the incredible diversity and malleability of the piano are composer-pianist Poppy Ackroyd; pianist and violin duo AVAWAVES; Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres, film composer and electronic artist; award-winning composer/sound designerEmilie Levienaise-Farrouch; multi-instrumentalist and genre-crossing composer Angus MacRae; BAFTA nominated Vince Pope; Ukranian violinist/pianist/composer Natalia Tsupryk; neo-classical musician Oliver Patrice Weder; and Mara Simpson, a folk, classical singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. 

Founded in 2015 by Nils Frahm, Piano Day is an annual worldwide event to raise the profile of the piano, inspire more people to play the piano and encourage piano playing in public spaces. Piano Day takes place on the 88th day of the year, celebrating the number of keys on the instrument.
