LSO Futures with Patricia Kopatchinskaja

Violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja

LSO Futures, the LSO's biennial festival of contemporary music, returns with violinist extraordinaire Patricia Kopatchinskaja joining LSO Principal Guest Conductor François-Xavier Roth.

This year's concert features music from three, now established, young composers who are all alumni of the LSO's Panufnik Composers Scheme – including Francisco Coll, whose new Violin Concerto was created specially for the fabulous Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

If you’ve experience ‘PatKop’ in action, you’ll already know why she’s one of those musicians who acquire a cult following. ‘You can only win the freedoms you dare to take,’ she says. ‘The limits are in the imagination’. This new concerto from Francisco Coll will allow her to be her inspirational, untrammelled self.

Under new guidelines, there are fewer available seats in the Barbican Hall, set as single tickets or in groups of twos, threes and fours. You can only sit in the same seating cluster as someone from your own household (or support bubble) and we ask you to not swap seats so we can maintain a safe distance between you and other groups.

Tickets must be booked online in advance.

Two performances: 3.30pm & 6.30pm

The performances are expected to last 1 hour. There will be no interval.

The performances take the place of the concert originally scheduled at 7.30pm on Thursday 11 March.
